In July, 2026, I joined the Civics Center at Wright State U., Dayton, OH as a senior faculty associate. Alongside other duties, I will assist in developing courses for the minor and certificate in Civic Thought. Formerly, I was Professor of Philosophy at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH, where I taught the Ethics requirement at SSU for 29 years. I received an MA in Christian Thought from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a PhD in Philosophy from Purdue University. I have published in the areas of moral psychology, Critical Theory, Islamic militancy, the role of ethics instruction in higher education, and natural law. My wife, Janet, and I have three grown children and six grandchildren (and counting). We are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church OPC in Beavercreek, OH..
